Born in Athens in 1992, the Albanian-Greek violinist Jonian Ilias Kadesha gave his european debut at the age of 12, playing Wieniawski's Violin Concerto No.2 with the Orchestra della Toscana under Giampaolo Bisanti. Since then he has played with orchestras such as the Munich Radio Orchestra,Lubeck Philarmonic, Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic, and Greek Radio Orchestra, collaborating with conductors such as Bruno Weil, Nicolas Pasquet ,Alberto Lysi ,Johannes Klump and Christopher Franklin. Over the past three years,Jonian has won prizes at five international Solo and Chamber music competitions including the Leopold Mozart Violin Competition,the Deutscher Musikwettbewerb or the Haydn Chamber Music Competition . Recitals and concertos have led him to venues such as , the Megaron Hall in Athens,Wigmore Hall in London, Salle Moliere in Lyon, Salle Garnier in Montecarlo,Goldener Saal in Augsburg or Teatro Verdi in Firenze.
Jonian studied violin with Grigori Zhislin in Germany and with Salvatore Accardo in Italy as well as chamber music with Hatto Beyerle in Hannover and ECMA (European Chamber Music Academy) . Further great musical figures such as Ferenc Rados, Steven Isserlis, Ivry Gitlis ,Leonidas Kavakos and Eberhard Feltz have shaped his musical personalitiy . He currently lives in Berlin and studies for a Master degree with Ulf Wallin at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler.
A keen chamber musician, in 2010 Jonian founded the Trio Gaspard together with British cellist Vashti Hunter and German pianist Nicholas Rimmer.The critically acclaimed piano trio is winnner of both Haydn and Joachim chamber music competitions and performs regularly in Italy,Germany,Austria,France and the UK. He has also collaborated with distinguished artists like Martha Argerich, Steven Isserlis, Ivry Gitlis , Gidon Kremer, Nicolas Altstaedt, Vilde Frang, Ilya Gringolts , Pekka Kuussisto and Kim Kashkashian and is frequently invited by well known festivals such as Progetto Martha Argerich ,Lockenhaus Festival, Kronberg ''Chamber Music Connects the World'', Mantova Chamber Music Festival,Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festspiele, Hitzacker Festival , Ludwigsburger Festspiele and Heidelberger Frühling.
Jonian plays a Nicola Gagliano from 18th century, kindly on loan from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben in Hamburg.
